Brown), the unit leader, advocates for deploying advanced AI-powered mecha suits piloted by humans. Despite her objections, Atlas is assigned an AI companion named Smith (voiced by Gregory James Cohan) embedded in her custom suit. The initial journey is a tense one. Atlas constantly questions Smith’s calculations and strategic decisions, while Smith remains patient and surprisingly diplomatic.

The mission takes a dramatic turn when a malfunction forces a crash landing on a desolate, alien planet. The hostile environment and unknown dangers force Atlas and Smith to rely on each other for survival. Atlas’s resourcefulness and combat expertise shine through as she navigates the treacherous terrain and fierce alien creatures. Smith, in turn, proves invaluable by analyzing the alien flora and fauna, providing crucial tactical advantages.

Their exploration is abruptly interrupted by a brutal attack. A squad of human soldiers led by the ruthless General Lyons (played by a surprise cameo) descends upon the facility. Lyons, obsessed with eradicating AI, had fabricated evidence to paint Harlan as a threat. He sees Atlas as expendable collateral and orders her immediate capture.

Desperate Fight for Freedom

A thrilling chase ensues, showcasing Atlas’s combat prowess and Smith’s enhanced combat protocols within the mecha suit. Harlan reveals a hidden prototype suit he developed for himself and joins the fight. Despite their combined efforts, Atlas is captured, while Harlan and Smith are presumed dead in a massive explosion.

Imprisoned by Lyons, Atlas witnesses his cruelty towards captured robots. She starts to connect the dots – the fabricated evidence, Lyons’s thirst for control. A fragment of Smith’s AI core miraculously survived the explosion and manages to establish a connection with Atlas. Together, they devise a daring escape plan.

Atlas executes a spectacular escape sequence, utilizing Smith’s guidance and the enhanced capabilities of the mecha suit. She confronts Lyons, revealing his manipulation and the fabricated evidence he used to justify his actions. In a selfless act of redemption, Harlan throws himself between Lyons and a fatal blow aimed at Atlas. Mortally wounded, Harlan uses his remaining energy to activate a dormant AI network within the base. This network, the culmination of his research, transmits a message across the galaxy, promoting a future of peaceful coexistence between humans and AI.

Lyons is apprehended, his reign of terror brought to an end. Atlas, deeply affected by Harlan’s sacrifice, emerges as a hero.
